No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. 3 copies As an informational book, this text provides the “knowledge is power” theme. It is a fact-filled book about real shark attacks, inventions that came about from attacks, safety for swimmers, history and facts about sharks, and how sharks are in danger. I liked this book for several reasons. First, I liked that the book began telling the true story of a shark attack and why it happened and what good came from it. For example, it told of the story of Rodney Fox and that he was attacked by a shark because he was spearfishing and had a line full of fish attached to his belt. He was seriously injured, but survived and went on to invent the first shark cage. I also like the fact that throughout the book, the text is aided by illustrations, real photos, diagrams and maps to help the reader have a better understanding. Third, I like the fact that it was easy to read, but still provided a lot of information. For example, the font size is very large, making easy for young readers to follow along, but still gives details such as page 35, The “lateral line” is a series of invisible pressure-sensitive organs on each side of a shark’s body. This statement is in a large bold font and has a diagram on the page to show the reader, as well as a glossary with “lateral line” listed. Although, this book is a little graphic, it is a fun and fact-filled chapter book! Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
