This book is great for children to color, but I use it as one of my costuming resources. Plates make great resources for putting garments together, especially since much of the medieval clothing is rectangles, and since there are layers. This book simply shows you how the outfits go together. It also shows you some of the color combinations that might appeal to a medieval eye, as opposed to a modern one. All in all, it is a great beginners resource to get an idea what was going on in different places and time periods, so you know what you like. ( )
