Mr. Barna is obviously a very thoughtful man. His observations helped me better understand the different faith tribes in the United States. He did not always clearly distinguish between his opinion and the facts though. The raw data from survey results in the back of the book are great. I learned quite a bit from just analyzing those.

His premise of identifying shared values from all faith tribes on which we can agree to build a solid foundation for American society was the best part of the book. It should be required reading for all those considering a career in politics.

I originally checked this book out from the library, but found it so full of wonderful information, that I purchased it to keep as reference material. ( )
