This is a cute story that I could see little kids enjoying, especially kindergartners. The book is action packed with the adventures that Olu goes through in his dream, and there are a lot of "sounds" throughout the story. There are words like "aaaaaahh" and "wheeeeee", which is why I think little kids would really enjoy this book as a read-aloud. The story is essentially about a kid who had a fun dream, and woke up wanting to bring that dream to reality.
The illustrations are colorful, and it sort of reminds me of a comic book's illustrations. I did not find any themes or morals in this story, which is why I could definitely see this story being read to a child before bed, or even a nice story to end a long school day with. It is one of those stories that I think is good to start with when it comes to introducing reading to children. ( )
