![]() No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. I don't know how I missed this book of his. Very good. All aspects of the death penalty and death row. Also means of being put to death and the pros and cons..... ( ![]() Fiction After reading a couple of chapters, I decided the subject matter did not interest me enough to spend time in the world of the KKK and legal maneuvering. The actual writing is par for the course for Grisham: steady workmanship, some nice rhetoric occasionally, and an important discussion of personal relationships in a fraught world. Un livre étrangement poignant. This book was a complete disappointment. Virtually nothing happens after the prologue. I kept waiting for the main character, a lawyer who is the grandson of a convicted murderer, to uncover some evidence to mitigate his grandfather's guilt. He is hired to defend his grandfather in appeals of the conviction. He repeatedly files appeals, none of which are granted. He does nothing else to help his grandfather. The more culpable character in the murders appears repeatedly, but nothing is done with him. This book is a total waste of time. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
