Three wolf children are found in a forest. A 15 year old governess is brought in to look after them and try and make them civilized" for the rather silly lady of the house and the strange man who is obsessed with his Almanac.
In the vein of the Lemony Snicket books this is the first in the series. (

The cover art, title, and description all lead me to pick up this book. I was expecting a quirky middle grade story but I found myself bored. Nearly 60 pages in and my mind kept wandering so I decided to DNF.

The writing is fine, but tries too hard to be funny. What I’ve read of this book isn’t bad, it’s just not for me.

3½ stars. Katherine Kellgren does a fine job narrating this YA story of a 15-year-old governess trying to tame 3 children who were found living wild in the woods ("brought up by wolves"). Reminded me a bit of a cross between Truffault's 1970 film The Wild Child and Jane Eyre... (
