I enjoyed this Christian Children's book and I received it as a gift. Another great one in this series. I've voluntarily chose to review this and I've given it a 5* rating. I'm love the way she shares the meanings in ways a child can understand. Want to read and share more in this series. ( )

This is a wonderful book with a magnificent art and will make an unforgettable gift to any child and he/she will ask you to read it until the book is completely worn out. The presentation is gorgeous: a hardcover book with a beautiful art in the cover and inside. The content is great. The book is written in a very easy language appropriate for children. GramPa Bear gently explain to his Granddaughter Bear the different types of love and the importance of sharing God's love for his creatures.
This beautiful message is passed in a lovingly way.
This is a must have in the permanent library of any Christian family that wants to transmit the message of God's love to their child/children.

This book was written by Lisa Tawn Bergren and illustrated by artist Laura J.Bryant and was published in September of 2009 by WaterBrook Multnomah Books. The publishers were kind enough to provide me a copy for reviewing through their Blogging for Books Program.

I have a 4 year old son and this book is perfect for this age. It is a sweet book following the previously published "God Gave Us You." Very simple, talking about God's gift of love. Recommended for preschool age. ( )

I was ready to love this book. I've read and reread some of Lisa Tawn Bergren's books for grown-ups. The book has a great idea, to teach about love. But the teaching aspect overwhelmed it, and the story was sacrificed in favor of lessons. My husband, after reading this to our 3 year old daughter, say he felt the book was "trying too hard." This book could be improved by trying to say less, and have more story. Or make it longer and for older kids -there's only so much you can communicate in a board book for small children. That said, our daughter liked it well enough. The illustrations were charming, and I wouldn't mind seeing more of this family of polar bears by the illustrator. ( )
