In this tongue-in-cheek comic strip, the dungeon is a place where the intrepid come in search of adventure, only to be killed by the resident monsters and have their money taken by the dungeon keeper. In this edition, business is declining, so Herbert comes up with the idea of pretending to have a princess held prisoner in the dungeon in order to lure more unsuspecting patrons in with the promise of her hand in marriage to the person who can rescue her. Unfortunately, the princess he makes up becomes all too real, which doesn't please the king and army of her country. After they solve that problem, Herbert and Marvin have to go in search of a dragon's eye to replace the one that got destroyed.

I'm enjoying this series so far, but I'm definitely having some trouble due to the fact that I don't have all of the volumes. I've obviously missed some of the plot from the missing volumes or from reading them out of order. Other than that, they're not great, but they're enjoyable for what they are. ( )

These are funny and awesome. They bring me back to my childhood reading cartoons in the back of Dragon magazine. They're keeping me interested and smiling at age 45 so that's a good sign. They make me want to create something like this, a silly fantasy adventure with no rules and limitless imagination. ( )

I found this middling and the humor forced. ( )
