I liked that he made the night seem less scary by making it a nice person who closes the flowers and calms the sea. I would recommend this book to young children who do not like sleeping alone, or who are afraid of the dark. It was an all around enjoyable book that left a smile on my face. ( ) The story is calm and sweet making it a perfect bedtime story. I met Mr. Yaccarino at a conference and was amazed at his wide talent. He wrote this book in 16 minutes at Starbucks while pitching his artwork. The illustrations are mostly bold and bright, while Mr. Night is dark and starry. Great contrast. This book is about night depicted as an actual person. Mr. Night has duties such as, closing flowers at night, making sure the stars are in the right place, and putting everyone to sleep. At the end of the story he goes to bed as the sun begins to rise. The small child in the story then tells him "goodnight, Mr. Night". Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
