![]() Cap No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. Yes, it's a formulaic contemporary romance, but that's okay. It's enjoyable fluff, right on for the genre. ( ![]() I wasn’t a huge fan of the characters. I didn’t like Cade (the male leading character). I thought he was a jerk. I did like the female character but I thought that she needed to stand up for herself more. I thought the ending was too neat. There was really no talking or explaining or apologizing done and I think it needed it, especially the apologizing. Also, I couldn’t close my eyes and picture the people in the book or the town where it is supposed to take place which I like to be able to do. However, I really liked the writing style and I liked how I could feel my chest getting tight in some of the emotional scenes (which is how I judge whether a book is good). This was also a quick read for me and I was able to finish it in four (4) hours. This is an easy book to read. Of course, I borrowed it from the library because of the knitting reference. But I also want a nice love story and the story of Abigail and Cade is just so cute, love how some of their mischief made me laughed. And the beautiful shop in a sheep farm...I wish the shop is real so I could go visit or even sign up for a knitting seminar. This is an easy book to read. Abigail inherits a cottage from her elderly friend, but the property happens to be occupied by Cade, who has been farming the ranch for the past 10 years. Abigail wants to use the cottage to open a knitting store, but Cade understandably isn't interested. Aside from the dramatic and kind of abrupt ending, I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would. Abigail is more than ready for a change when she inherits a cottage from her beloved mentor, knitting guru Eliza Carpenter. Leaving the oppressive city for the greener pastures of a small California beach town, she intends to turn her cozy little windfall into a knitting shop and spend her days spinning, designing, and purling. But she's not going to be welcomed with open arms by her new neighbor. Eliza's disgruntled nephew, the gorgeous Cade, now owns everything surrounding Abigail's ramshackle new home, and he views this sexy city girl as an unwanted interloper. But chemistry working overtime is drawing two very different people closer than they thought possible, and when the past Abigail thought she'd left behind comes calling, she must somehow learn to trust her handsome adversary with more than just her heart.
