The plot is cute and I didn't figure out who'd done it (a big plus ;o)) before the end. If you like cozy mysteries, I'd highly recommend it! ( ) It was a very cute premise, but the idea of her being a "confessions queen" should have been fleshed out a little. The romance between her and Brad was also a little lacking, and it would of made the story more interesting if Amy had more of an attachment to the men in her life . . I don't want to ruin the plot but she is willing to believe the worst about Brad after the tiniest of suggestions, and her reaction to Jeremy's umm 'situation' is over a little too quickly (as a matter of fact, Brad's reaction is even worse! He was supposed to be Jeremy's best friend). There are also a bunch of little things that never get explained. . . Despite the book's many shortcomings, I liked it. Confessions writer Amy Crosby has put her life on hold for the last seven years after the disappearance of her husband, Dan. In writing for True Lies Magazine, guilt-ridden Amy takes on the abilities her fictional characters confess to, such as the time she thought she was psychic after researching clairvoyants. With fatalistic acceptance of the craziness in her life, she uses humor to cope; but when the home Dan bought for them is about to be foreclosed, her only answer is his having him declared legally dead and using his life insurance policy. Her home is safe--that is, until she receives a blackmail note. Equal parts mystery and humor, this novel is sure to keep readers guessing--and laughing--until the end.
