What impact should Jesus' resurrection have on individuals and churches? Popular Christian blogger and teacher Adrian Warnock urges Christians not to neglect the implications of the resurrection. Jesus truly is alive today. But compared to his atoning death, Jesus' resurrection sparks relatively little discussion in the church. Inadvertently,we can become so focused on the good news that Christ died for our sins, that we almost forget he was "raised for our justification" (Romans 4:25). In Raised with Christ, author Adrian Warnock exhorts Christians not to neglect the resurrection in their teaching and experience. Warnock takes his cue from Acts, where every recorded sermon focuses on Jesus' resurrection. He stresses that Christians who faithfully proclaim both the death and the bodily resurrection of Jesus, and live out the implications of that message in vibrant, grace-filled churches, will be enabled to reach a world that lives in death's dark shadow. The power of the risen Christ is active in every true Christian, transforming our lives. Raised with Christ will help you discover afresh the massive implications of the empty tomb. Jesus' resurrection really has changed everything.… (més)

This book deserves every one of 9 stars. It is a little slow starting up, dealing mostly with apologetic and theological implications of Jesus' resurrection, but around page 100 it becomes much more applicational and you won't want to put it down. There are not many books on the nature of the resurrection of Christ and the effects this has in the daily life of the believer, but Adrian has filled that void with a book that is sure to last centuries to come. He starts every chapter off with a section of Scripture, and the book as a whole is saturated in Scripture. He also quotes many other authors who are in the forefront in their fields. He quotes a wide range of Christian theologians from different backgrounds and different vocations. This is a book I will be encouraging many others to read. ( )

NCLA Review - The author believes we live in a Resurrection World and that changes everything. He contends that the resurrection of Jesus Christ should not concern people just as something in the future but also as way to live their lives every day. He says that God wants mankind to be transformed by the power of the resurrection. Sin will be killed and all true followers will live as they ought. One very interesting chapter is titled, “Did Jesus Really Rise from the Dead?” He tackles the questions surround this issue by quoting from numerous sources including the Scriptures. Warnock says that he writes this book as an ordinary Christian and not a theologian, but it should be noted that he has been a regular preacher at Jubilee Church in London for more than ten years. Although pedantic at times, the book is an interesting read. Rating: 3 —AMB ( )
