No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. Will ALWAYS be one of my favorite book. I have read this more than ten times and every time it gets cuter. EVERYONE should read this. ( ![]() Cute, contemporary love story (though ignore the cover - it's terrible). I loved all of the characters and the Paris setting. However, I didn't fall head over heels in love like most of the book blogging community. I liked it but maybe there was a bit too much hype about it being the best book of the year. The series of misunderstandings and lack of communication between Etienne and Anna toward the end got annoying as well. Oh and the reason they can't be together for most of the book? Lame. Maybe I didn't like this one as much as I first thought. It was cute, fluffy, but not the fabulousness I expected. Okay. I admit: This was cute. Cute, fluffy romance. But... I have to gripe about something, so here goes: To Anna: Anna, I sympathize with you. I'm sorry that your father sent you to France. It's such a horrible, cultureless country. I mean, the people speak French! Why can't they speak English like all the other countries of the world, right? I'm also sorry about your very difficult and world-shattering boy problems. It must really suck to have an apperantly wonderful, funny and georgeous British/French/American guy in love with you. I know, because that exact same thing happens to me all the time! Gee, your life sucks. Oh, and I'm sooo sorry that you are rich and that your dad is an asshole. But he tries, and he loves you, so it's all good, right? Anna, I would really hate to be you!!! Not-So Sincerely, Marta. P.S. Anna, after reading an entire book about you, I still have NO IDEA how you look like minus the fact that you have brown hair! No, wait, I do. Hi, Stephanie Perkins, is that you? P.P.S. Hold it... I know how you look like: every brunette who reads this book! Because they will put themselves in Anna's place, and therefore, will become Annas! (Except all the blondes. But Bridgette gets a hot guy too! And she also has NO PERSONALITY! So yay self-insert characters!) Dear St. Clair: I love you. I love that you have no character flaws, except for cowardice and fear of heights. Geuss what? I also have a fear of heights! That means we have totally bonded now! Right? I love the fact that you are French and American and English i.e a mix of all the things any girl loves (possible minus the American part. I'd much rather you be Canadian so you can follow ME to university instead of Anna), therefore making sure you are positivley irrestable. And BTW, I feel soo sorry about your mom, even though she was a total plot device. Really, I do. I totally gave a shit about your mom, when she was barley mentioned and we weren't given a reason to care. Bye, and even though you and Anna will probably break up before getting to university, at least you'll always have Paris. Marta P.S. See what I did there? I'm movie savvy too! In case you failed to notice my glaring sarcasm, that was sarcasm. All of it. "Holy smoot! I love this book!" - John Green Loved this book!!!! Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
When Anna's romance-novelist father sends her to an elite American boarding school in Paris for her senior year of high school, she reluctantly goes, and meets an amazing boy who becomes her best friend, in spite of the fact that they both want something more.
