Summary: This book provides detailed information for 3rd-6th graders about rocks. It discusses the ways rocks are made, the various materials that make up rocks, the different categories of rocks, what lives on rocks, and the way they are weathered away.
Review: I believe this book is an excellent resource for students to learn about rocks. While I would not read this book page by page to a whole class, I would definitely share specific pages.
