The heroine was a prejudiced obstinate twit for most of the book. Good thing there's a mating heat or there would have been no reason for him to love her. Bad editing as usual. ( ) Big, gorgeous, hunky breed-Styx is most apt at finding and capturing his prey. Storme Montague however is more than prey; she might just hold the key to the future for some of the breeds as well as Styx himself. First he has to keep the innocent Storme safe from not only Breed slavers, but his own animal side. Storme was told to give what her father gave into her protect ion to only certain individuals; only Daddy forgot to tell her who those individuals were. She has no particular love for any of the breeds as they cost her everything she held dear, but she never expected to feel for the hunk called Styx those so out-of-control emotions that kept her on her head instead of her feet. Now she must decide whether it's head or heart she follows. This one has it all- lust, passion, fear, hate, know it all men and women who know better. I thought with so many different books about the breeds it might get a little boring, repetitive, etc. To my chagrin and my entertainment [a:Lora Leigh|2614|Lora Leigh|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1211464290p2/2614.jpg] manages to find a twist or two to the premise to keep them enjoyable without complete repetition. This was fun, humorous, full of hot sex and long enough to make the reading worthwhile. Styx's Storm 4 Stars Quickie Review A pleasant surprise. Storme gets a bad rap in many reviews but I liked her. In fact, her reactions are completely logical and believable given the traumatic events she has experienced. It is naive to think that a woman could "just get over" the things that happened to her and willingly embrace that which terrifies her. Styx is a strong and loving hero but not my favorite. This is a good series but it is a pity that there is not more focus on the development of the conspiracy against the Breeds. Too much is left unresolved in each book. First off, the description is misleading... as far as I can tell, Storme is not virginal... So someone might wish to change the description. Second, I find this one of the best of the breeds series. I appreciate the lack of anal sex, which has always seemed contrived to me. Styx is amazing, and I can relate to Storme's struggles. The other characters are at times without understanding or compassion that they exhibit in other books. I will be interested to see how much longer this series extends! To save innocent, young Storme Montague from the claws of Breed slave traders, Wolf Breed Styx is forced to claim her himself-on the condition that Storme will no longer be a virgin by night's end. And though Storme's defenses are up, Styx will free her-in ways she never expects. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
