After listening to the stories from my grandfather about his experiences in WWII and the humor and ironic things that happened (which gave these young men something to take their mind off their terrible surroundings/situation, I thought this would be a good book to read. The book was okay, some very "gee-whiz" kinda stories, I was looking for something with a little more edge or grit. Such is life.
