Didn't read all of this, it's a weird combination to too complex and too simple ( get back to it sometime ) ( ) Very simple (at first) but authoritative intro to quantum concepts. How they explain the intricacies of atomic structure and form the foundation of the Periodic Table and chemical bonding. Relevance for the properties of different kinds of fats, of greenhouse gases, of aromatic compounds, and of different substances' conductivity properties. Inexcusably marred by numerous word errors such as "discreet" where "discrete" is meant. Amazing introduction to the quantum world. I finally feel like I can hold a conversation in this area as before this book my knowlege base was, in hindsight, exceedingly superficial. It was never the author's intention to have the reader do quantum theory, but you do feel empowered by the theoretical understanding the book provides. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

This book makes the field of quantum theory understandable to nonscientists, without oversimplifying and without bogging down in complicated math. It uses clear explanations, real-world examples, and diagrams instead of dense equations to help you understand. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
