The North Devon Riviera Hotel in the middle of February seems like an odd place for love to bloom in various forms but for several individuals it provides the perfect venue to get away from it all. Amy Miller is a romance writer who is escaping the tabloids who are hot on her tracks, trying to expose her relationship with a well-known married man. Tim, a musician and teacher, is recovering from a prank his student's played on him. For Amy and Tim the North Devon Riviera Hotel provides the opportunity not only to relax but also the time to meet each other.

From the main story-line which focuses on Amy and Tim to the more minor characters, such as the young hotel intern and her crush on one of the staff, Love Out of Season is full of challenged relationships. It is a really sweet story with enough detail to keep you interested in all the couples without causing overload. Perhaps a traditional cliché love story, however there are enough surprises and intrigues to keep the story flowing.
