Clarence Earle Dickinson

Rear Admiral Clarence E. Dickinson was the first person in history to receive three Navy Crosses upon the presentation of his second Gold Star in 1942. The Flying Guns describes his experiences in World War II as a scout pilot aboard the USS Enterprise, the aircraft carrier that first sighted the Japanese near Midway.
REVIEW: The author goes into well flowing detail of what he saw, whom he was with and what happened on each of the impactful days from December 7th, 1941 to surviving the Battle of Midway. This has to be in my opinion one of the best attack on Pearl Harbor and Battle of Midway books available... Also covered are the raids on the Marcus Islands and Kwajalien Atoll.… (més)
