Slow moving but intense bloodbath with some excellent performances, particularly Hall (as a picture framer drawn into a deadly drama) and Johnson as a private detective/pig farmer. Shaw, in the thankless role as Hall's wife who has no idea what he is up to with Johnson and Shepard, is quite good as well. Shepard's performance is so minimalistic, it's hard to say if it is good or not. Superb cinematography also, particularly in the violent scenes. Very odd to see that a film set in Texas was actually filmed in the Hudson Valley, however!… (més)
