WHAT A MESS! I liked Elyse from the start as she seemed so studious and giving, and I liked her three friends, Aubrey, Marina, and Finn at first. As they talked she heard Marina was sexually assaulted by her professor and they wanted to expose him. When Elyse took her statement of what she had heard to her boss at the newspaper, she was told to dig deeper or her scoop would be given to some one else. In the world of politics she wades through murky waters, and she falls hard for Finn.

Favorite Daughters: A Novel de Laurel Osterkamp

I enjoyed parts of this chick lit/politics. I won this from a group of authors and I voluntarily chose to review this. I've given this a 4* rating and this is not for the under 18 readers. This is about 3 friends from collage, who take turns doing everything for each other and back stabing each other. One of the friends family is Democrat, one is Republican, and one is semi activist. Lots going on in this story and you may end up taking sides.

Following My Toes de Laurel Osterkamp

A romantic comedy that has a slightly wacky heroine claiming to be psychic. Predictable situations but characters are well-defined and interesting. An okay read.

Starring in the Movie of My Life de Laurel Osterkamp

I read the blurb for this book and thought it sounded like something I wouldn't enjoy. I resisted buying it for quite a while, but I had loved several other books by this author and finally succumbed to its call. This book was not what I was expecting at all, with a storyline that went places I had not imagined. Ms Osterkamp's writing had me turning pages for more, rather than setting the book aside. I was completely won over by the realistic characters and their complex motivations, all revealed through the mature and accomplished writing of the author. Loved it.… (més)
