It was fun to read, although completely unrealistic and much too many sex scenes. Three and a half stars.

This was an interesting premise for a Paranormal romance. I loved the hero at the beginning and was a little sad to lose that personality, but understood it and it made sense for the plot. Quaid had been "dead" for 5 years and it was understandable he would have a different personality. The heroine was okay, there were times I really liked her and times she was annoying. I wish there had been more about the couples ending relationship, but the suspense of the plot was great.

I don't enjoy a book where one character is so screwed up from their childhood that they can't commit until 76% or better through the book. I enjoy the "togetherness" too much! Just my preference.

Can I start off by saying, finally finally we get the wedding I have been waiting for!!!!! I was so happy that Jax and Lexi, we get to meet Caitlyn who is apparently Lexi's cousin, whom we have never heard of, I only ever heard of remembered her mention her brother and her drugged up mother, which always brings me to the question whatever happened to her brother? but back to story. Caitlyn is there and I ended up really liking her and happy that Lexi ended up having a family member, even though she does have a sister in Rubi. She is there checking out all the of the guest and notices one of the fine-looking Renegades, who seems to be alone and who apparently has just come back Duke. Duke is happy to be back with his other family after being gone for a while since he was helping his sister trying to get out of an abused relation. He and Caitlyn end up having an amazing night together, not expecting to have any more time together, but end up seeing each other again. but that will that not be that will not be the case. I like that Caitlyn had to stand up for herself and put her family and ex in their place multiple times and unfortunately Duke himself. but after some attitude adjustments he would wake up.

Cameron and Faith were in relationship and so in love but threw a tragedy Faith broke up with Camern and shattered his heart. Cameron joins the renegades thinking that it will be a pit stop towards his next career not realizing that he loves what he is doing and that these guys have become his family. In the next movie they are in they need a police officer as a consultant and here comes Faith, not realizing that that is where Cameron is working, and she is still in love with him, but as they try very minimally to resist, they are still heartbroken, and have to deal with some issues in order to be able to make it work.

The first 80% was perfect. Witty banter, hot chemistry, and great assembly of characters. I was really enjoying myself until we hit the last four fifths of the book. That’s when shit went from 0 to 100 real quick.

There was a shitload of problems I won't further indulge in but there were two things that had irked my soul and pretty much ruined my near perfect reading experience.

First our home girl KT who I absolutely absolutely loved (at the beginning) was making all these plans to spend time with Ben and his daughters during school holidays to better built the relationship and damn near admitting she had feelings for him, did not nor would have seen their relationship as exclusive and getting all pissy when called out on her bullshit. Plus she had the audacity to say it's not an issue at that time since she didn't plan on sailing until a few months out had me grinding my teeth in frustration. Like girl, say what now? You claimed that you don't have any desire to see anyone else and that you don't sleep around which pretty much contradicts everything that was said from the get-go. So you're just gonna hoe it up in your spare time while sailing the seas while Ben stays put and is expected to remain faithful? Yeah no I wasn't feeling that. Sure I understand her ideals due to her upbringing but bitch please. You're an adult and it's common fucking sense

Second pet peeve. Kat and Ben literally knew each for barely one month before he decided to reroute his entire life *cue the eyeroll* by moving his family (himself and three young daughters under the age of fourteen) from a thirty-eight-hundred-square-foot house with a yard and a pool to a five-hundred-square-foot boat to be with her after experiencing the instant love feels. What the actual fuck? No. No. No! Who the fuck does that? It makes absolutely no sense. It's mind-boggling that he would come to that decision after barely knowing her for one month. Let me say that again. One month. It was too unrealistic for my taste and it just didn’t sit right with me. In all honestly if it was just him I would have given him some leeway but he decided to bring along his daughters. I just fucking can’t.

I'm seriously just blown away by the strong start of this novel to then see it diminish in an instant. Ugh. This could've been a four star read if everything after the 80% mark didn't happen. I'm utterly saddened this took a turn for the worse but as the saying goes, you win some you lose some.

This was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. I liked it even though Hollywood type stories are generally not to my taste. The flirting while texting was fun. The sexual antics between the two of them were super hot. the story was interesting and the characters well done including the secondary characters. I'm ready for more by this author.

Fairly decent story that suffered because I had not read the first 2 in the series. Usually I just jump in anywhere in a series without any problem but this one I felt that I should have read the first two. The story also happened over about 3 days which kept it from being as good as it could have been. I did like the characterization of both the hero and the heroine. They were people with problems that were not just blown off and fixed up at the end of the story. You knew that although they loved each other, they had a ways to go both individually and jointly. I could probably be persuaded to read more in the series.

Tucker and Lacey OMG, I loved these two. The proverbial playboy takes a step back from his one-night stand life after he loses a rescue to a flash flood. Focusing on work is the only thing keeping him from spinning out of control. Enter Lacey, who seems to be the female version of what he used to be. Meeting her makes him feel desire for the first time in months and it looks like one night is never going to be enough. Not with her. But she hides behind layers and learning that Tucker made a bet to get her into bed without telling her who he is, makes her retreat even further.

When her brother needs help, Tucker is front and center, helping however he can, taking initiative she would never expect. Somehow they both learn to look beyond their pasts and allow themselves to just love and be there for each other.

I really enjoyed Rush. At the end of Blaze, after rescuing Cash, the team discovered that Quaid might still be alive. At the beginning of Rush, Quaid is rescued - end of story, right? Not really. Quaid has been called Q for 5 years and has lost his memory of his team and his past. He is a different man, just how different is part of what makes this story so good. His wife, Jessica, who has had to overcome her own issues over the past 5 years, is afraid to believe that this man might be her husband. The story went a little off the rails at the end, but overall a really gripping story with a satisfying end. Can't wait to read Shatter, but I'm sorry it's going to be the last book in the series.

I read Fever, the first book in this series, years ago but didn't know until recently that it was the first book in a series. Blaze was the story of Kiera and Luke both of whom had developed powers after being caught in a fire that contained unique chemicals. They were in love before the fire, but separated due to Kiera's insecurities about having her own family. Even though some of the parts were melodramatic, the description of the psychic powers was believable enough to make the story enjoyable. I'm anxious to read the next book in this series.

This was a fitting end to the Phoenix Rising series. The main character, Helina, basically gave up her life and happiness to save Mitch. Her psychic power of seeing the future made her believe that she and Mitch could never be happy without Mitch ending up dead. All of the characters from the previous books were part of this story and ended the series perfectly. Some of the dialogue at the end was a little over the top and some of the actions of the characters, especially the villains, were pretty far fetched, but otherwise a good story with a satisfying ending.

Dirtiest Little Secret by Skye Jordan
A Quick and Dirty Romance #

What a fun way to spend the afternoon…or a day on the beach…or perhaps locked in a winter cabin due to too much snow. This story put a smile on my face and had me WISHING I was in Ava’s place…at least with Isaac!

What I liked:
* Ava Jennings: wealthy, educated, in her family’s steel business, confronted with big choices ~ I like where she ended up at the end.
* Isaac Banks: good family, engineer, mechanic, business owner, loves his family, more than meets the eye at first glance ~ I like where he ended up at the end.
* That the H/h were equals without realizing it, at least at first
* The fantasy aspect of the beginning
* How what could have been a nightmare for Ava when she stepped on the wild side turned out just the opposite
* That Isaac loved his family as he did
* Isaac’s family – didn’t see much of them but thought they were “good people”
* The way Ava caught and dealt with her despicable fiancé
* The growth in the relationship between Ava & Isaac in the first part
* Ava’s friends stepping in to help her see the “truth”
* The resolution of the expected breakup at the end
* The steamy bits…wow…just…WOW…
* Reading a story that made me care
* Stepping into a few worlds I will never venture into
* Reading a new to me author I will look for again
* Thinking about “what if” & “What would *I* do?”
* The writing, plot, predictability, and happy ending

What I didn’t like:
* The pain both H/h felt at times in their life journeys
* Ava’s family…BIG TIME

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more by this author? Definitely

Is it predictable and formulaic? Perhaps BUT…here are a few things I scribbled down while reading:
* Hot
* Steamy
* Sexy
* Secrets
* Fun
* Whip-smart
* Smile on my face

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

5 Stars

Rafe is a pro hockey player who can have any woman he wants except for his surrogate sister Mia. Little did he know she'd also been harboring feelings for Rafe for years. Rafe can't turn her down when Mia decides to get him out of her system once and for all and seduces him. Though they both have reasons for believing the relationship can't go anywhere, neither of them can bring themselves to walk away. Rafe is intense on and off the ice, but also loving and kind when he's with Mia. Mia is sweet, but also strong as she determines to make it in her new career and refuse to settle in her love life any longer. Skye Jordan is a talented writer - I was constantly in a "edge of my seat" feeling as the story unfolded. The love scenes were hot and sexy, the family drama intense and the hockey scenes were realistic. I especially liked that she incorporated some of actual hockey games into the story - I'm a huge hockey fan and this made the story and the characters more real to me. This was the third in the Rough Riders Hockey series and I will definitely going back to read the first two that I missed and am anxiously awaiting the next in the series, Wild Zone.

Another great installment to the Rough Riders series. As a fan, I love the hockey theme, and Skye Jordan does such a great job of making the characters seem real. Tate Donovan had sworn off women since his divorce. He was hurt badly by his ex-wife and reluctant to trust again. Olivia Essex is a free spirit; positive and full of joy and he finds her impossible to resist despite his reservations about getting involved with someone who lives on the other side of the world. The chemistry between Tate and Olivia is smoking hot, but right from the beginning there is also sweetness and tenderness as you catch glimpses of their vulnerability and the feelings that are developing. I loved seeing the characters from the other stories in the series and finding out where their lives are leading. Can't wait for the next in the series!

Skye Jordan’s first romantic suspense, I believe, and it is bang-on. The plot was fast-moving with a few surprising twists that kept me hooked - I didn’t want to put it down! Savannah and Zane were together and the secondary characters were interesting too. Excellent start to a new series - I’m looking forward to reading the others’ stories!

Another winner by Skye Jordan! I read this in one sitting - I couldn't put it down. Dirtiest Little Secret lives up to it's billing as a quick and dirty read! The heat level is smokin'! Despite the shorter length, there's still good depth of character development and plot to keep the reader interested in the story - more so than in a typical novella. Can't wait for the next one!

I loved Rapture - the 8th book in the Renegades series. It's a quick, fast-paced read, I blew through it pretty much in one sitting - didn't want to put it down. Chase and Zahara are smoking hot together but there are also sweet and tender moments. Zahara is such a great character - independent, badass stuntwoman, but vulnerable as well after a difficult childhood. Chase is an up and coming movie actor, but so down to earth and such a family man with his mom and sisters, and ultimately Zahara as well. I highly recommend this book and all others in the series.

Great story and characters by Skye Jordan. Super hot chemistry between Miranda and Jack; I especially loved Miranda's strong female character, being a welder by profession, as well as an entrepreneur. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Loved this story of friendship and second chance romance. In Too Deep is the first in a new series by Skye Jordan and has everything you'd expect from this author - realistic, relatable characters, friendship, humor and a steamy, angsty rekindling of romance between Levi and Laiyla. I can't wait to read the upcoming stories of KT and Chloe!

This is the second in the Wildfire Lake series - KT is a free spirit who has spent most of her life on the seas, Ben a responsible widowed doctor with 3 little girls. Skye Jordan always writes such realistic characters, and puts an effort into researching details, such as the medical terms and procedures. I found the ending and the epilogue were completely unexpected, but were perfect! I loved it! I'm looking forward to reading Chloe's story next.

The third and final book in the Wildfire Lake series exceeded my expectations! Swept Away is a wonderful friends to lovers romance. Xavier had been pining for Chloe since he first met her a year before and Chloe was attracted also, but afraid to take a chance due to a bad breakup in the past - she didn't want to take a chance as he appeared to be a "player." When her ex comes to town, Chloe and Xavier's fake relationship quickly turns into a steamy reality!

After a devastating accident tore them apart 8 years before, high school sweethearts Dylan and Emma are brought back together after Dylan makes a deathbed promise to a friend to come home and fight for the woman he's always loved. As he deals with the trauma of the war zone in Syria, Dylan reconnects with his estranged sisters and tries to win back Emma's trust. Emma still loves Dylan but struggles to trust and to reconcile starting anew with Dylan with the plans she has made without him to do humanitarian work as a doctor. Wonderful, realistic story, touching on current issues in a way that readers can relate to. I highly recommend this book.

Loved this third and final book in The Wrights series! Gypsy and Wyatt were great together as friends and spectacular once she finally gave into her feelings for him. This story is fun, steamy, heartwrenching at times - I was drawn in from beginning to end.
