Summary: This is a collection of the ABC Animal Poetry. "B" is a poem about a bee being out of business trying to sell honey and if you bother her she will be biting your knee. "F" is a poem about a fox that likes to fix fine foods and especially Friday's lunch featuring ice cream and cakes.
Personal Reaction: I thought both these poems were really good and cute. The go along with the ABC's. I'm sure kids will relate to these poems.
Classroom Extension Idea: 1. When going over the ABC's we could do some ABC poems. 2. The kids could also do some ABC poems and see what they can come up with themselves. I think that would make it more fun for the teacher and the kids.… (més)

ABC Animal Poetry is a collection of poetry using the alphabet. One poem is about a mother hippo and her two baby hippos. One baby hippo has hiccups and one spills their food but momma gives them a hug and kiss and a fun book to read. Another poem is about a whale in the tub who learns how to scrub.
Very funny, and the illustrations are very colorful. It gives a poem on every letter of alphabet making the names of each character start with that letter. Exmaple: Hungry Hippos for the letter H.
This would be a great book to use in the classroom. For every letter we learn we could memorize and recite the poem for that week. Have them write their own poems about the letter we have learned that day.… (més)

Personal opinion: This book is great for younger children.It helps the children learn their letters and animals.
Classroom extension ideas: have the children say the letters A-Z and the animals that went with them. Draw a picture of a letter that they learned.
