I really enjoyed reading this book not only for the pictures, but for the style of writing. In the book she starts off with a question about wondering if poodles like noodles. The style of writing is poem and rhyming sequences. Throughout the story, there are different short poems that explain different activities and topics that are cute and funny. Some of these include: Spots, A Story I Like To Tell, and My Grandma and My Grandpa. This author tends to stick to the same style of writing in her books. I really enjoyed this book and thought it was really cute and funny. The illustrations for this book are incredible which makes the book even better. It's about a little girl who wonders things. She wonders if poodles like noodles, if lions use irons, and if horses take courses. This book is full of rhyming words and it talks about experiences she has had. Her dalmation dog is in almost every single picture too. This is a collection of cute animal and children poems. There are poems about poodles liking noodles, sleepovers, Halloween, Dinosaur bones, bithday parties, a day at the beach, baking fun, bath time and new pajamas. I enjoyed this book, it was very cute. The rhyme, rhythm, and repetition was very easy to read. It was as Ms. Lammey's student said, the poems sang to me. This book would be wonderful for introducing poems to young readers (pre-K and K). If a teacher wanted to have a different poem everyday to read to her students, this book would serve the purpose quite well, because of the varity of subjects.
