Note: I received a digital review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. 3.5/5 stars. It lost 1/2 a star for being more Eurocentric than I'd like to see in a history of "just about everything." It does touch on major people, inventions, and events around the world, just not as much as I'd prefer. Beginning with the discovery of fire and ending in 2011 with the Japanese and speculation about the future, this book gives 1/2 to 1 page about "just about everything." It includes political, scientific, cultural, medical, and many more major events. It's a great jumping off point for any kid who wants to learn more.
