Decent story. Didn't really grip me. It sort of seemed surface writing. I didn't love or hate any of the characters. Competently written but no real spark for me. Not really sure why it took the hero so long to figure his s**t out. And that was a totally douchbaggy thing he did to cause the obligatory breakup at the end. ( )

Carrie Anne Ryan writes great books that stand on their own but also help to flesh out the world that all her intertwined stories exist in. She is one of my favorite cozy Sunday afternoon/relaxing beach day reads. All of her books are must reads for me. ( )

Miranda Montgomery, the youngest kid of eight, has been in love with Decker Kendrick for as long as she can remember, while he’s always seen her as a little sister. Finally fed up with the family zone, she makes it her mission to show him what he’s missing out on. Decker Kendrick has been an honorary member of the Montgomery family since childhood. He loves the Montgomery family too much to make a move on Miranda, besides she’s much too good for the likes of him. Will Miranda be able to convince him to give her a chance or will the past defeat them before they can even try?

This book had me sniffling so much. There’s a lot to Miranda & Decker’s story than meets the eye. I couldn’t help wanting to give them both cuddles—and the urge to lock them in a room and force them to get over their issues. They have a lot to overcome and it was hard to watch at times. If you are uncomfortable with abuse themes, this might not be the book for you.

TEMPTING BOUNDARIES a was heart-jerking, emotional roller coaster that had me crying and had me sighing. It was steamy and heartfelt—a wonderful addition to the Montgomery Ink series. I need more! ( )
