A lovely book and a relaxing exercise for the imagination. The story of an immigrant family taking their first steps in establishing themselves as pursuers of the American dream of success. The star of the story is the baby, Flossie who is expertly drawn by Williams, someone who knew a lot about babies.

Just read it a second time (September 2021) and just as good again.
