My biggest problem with the previous book was Henry's terrible behavior when angered, and although he lied quite a bit in this book (which didn't endear him to me) it didn't bother me nearly as much. But, this book was SO like Threshold, also by Hawk, written a couple years before, (and considerably better in my opinion), that it ended up pulling my rating down a star anyway. (None of the writing or reasoning of these two feels as good as the 20 other books I've read of his). I usually really enjoy Hawk's books, but this series is apparently the exception. Since there's only one more book I'll go ahead and finish out the series, but overall it's been a shame. (

Loved this continuation of the series. Jordan L. Hawk is probably one of the very few authors who can get me to enjoy historical *grin* I will admit the paranormal aspect of it makes it a lot easier as well.

To be honest, the only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is due to the "lack of honest communication" (on both MC's sides) which isn't really a thing I am completely a fan of. At times I just wished they'd just get it all out in the open and get on with building their relationship, lol. But still, it was a fantastic tale and I can't wait to read the next one. (

Good 2nd book in a series, checked all the boxes for the sequel. I didn't love it, but enjoyed it nevertheless. (

A pleasure to read

Another highly enjoyable story from Jordan L. Hawk. Vincent and Henry are wonderful together and it was truly a pleasure to get lost in their world for a little while. (
