Just like with "What puppies do best" I think this book is a very good example of what children books should be like. I think that this is aimed at a slightly older audience though, but it still works fine. I love the illustrations about this book the most; they are all so vibrant and vey detailed enough to keep even someone like me interested. I could easily see myself recommending this to my younger cousin. ( )

This book would give an amazing opportunity to teach children on understanding other children's home life isn't always the same. The story is called "Gator Dad" and it is about a gator who cares and loves for his children, taking them on adventures, teaching them, bathing them, and feeding them, but not everyone has dads. Giving the chance for children to explain who does things like this for them in their house can have tons of opportunity for discussion and open-minded learning. Such as a kid saying "my brother does those things for me" or "I have two mommies", etc. Otherwise a cute story for young children. ( )
