Could be a whole let better than it actually is. = ( ) A monster talks about how his feelings are hurt when people call him a monster. He explains that he wants people to acknowledge he is worthy and has a name. He knows he acts differently than people and looks different, but he says that does not give anyone the right to be mean. His name is Floyd Peterson, and he just wants to be called by his own name. He is finally called by his own name, and he is happy to hear it. I liked this little book. I think it's a good lesson in respect for others, even if they don't conform to a certain set of standards. He says he is technically a monster but still, he has a name. I think that speaks to a lot of kids who feel disenfranchised. Some kids feel like others are so mean to them, and they just want respect and love, just as the monster says he's more than just a monster--he's Floyd. The fact that the monster, Floyd, is happy when someone acknowledges his name speaks volumes. Kids should be appreciated and treated as individuals with their own identities, not like they're just a number. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
