Tras conseguir escapar de la persecución de Tarzán, el teniente Obergatz continúa su huida a través de la selva al lado de Jane, a la que retiene como prisionera. Pero Tarzán, todavía sediento de venganza, no se da por vencido, sigue el rastro de su compañera y éste le llevará a parajes nunca antes pisados por el ser humano. El instinto de supervivencia incluso en las situaciones más adversas, un genuino sentimiento de la amistad y el inquebrantable deseo de justicia guiarán los pasos de Tarzán, que en esta ocasión deberá enfrentarse a animales extraordinarios.

Mostly OK Tarzan novel with a revenge plot against the Germans who kidnapped Jane. Sort of violent and racist, but it did not have a big effect on me when I first read it at a young age. I loved most of the series that I read. Books were better than the Hollywood movies. ( )

Jane grows yet more redoubtable and there are heroic figures everywhere. Of its kind, it is the best. ( )

The story picks up where Tarzan the Untamed left off.
While Tarzan searches for Jane he discovers a land of dinosaurs and monkey/people.
We see more of Jane and her struggles. ( )

Ok, this one was a bit strange in comparison to the previous seven. It was a bit hard to follow because of all the odd names of people places and things. At times it was hard to remember who was who. Overall the story was great. I love that Korak was reintroduced. ( )
