This is book 4 in this series, written by various authors, and all the stories build upon each other, as you try to determine who is out to ruin the two major families in this series, the Vance family and the Montgomery family. I suggest you read these books in the order they were written to get the full story, but of course you could read them as stand alone too and enjoy them.

U.S. Air Force captain Ken Vance is back home in Colorado Spring on a medical leave. He is going to help his friend Quinn with his construction business as he hopefully heals up and can go back to his first love, flying. But it looks like Quinn's business is being targeted by the man out to do these two families harm. Julianna Red Feather is the secretary for this business and also trains canine search-and-rescue teams. Julianna has always had a crush on Ken since high school, but their lives and careers just haven't crossed; until Ken gets back into town. Julianna will also be targeted since she works for the company. Someone needs to find out who is behind this terror before someone dies. And several times Ken and Juliana have been close to that in this story.

There is no lack of action and suspense in this story. And also some romance. I am enjoying getting to know these two families better, the more books in this series I read. I like how each story ends with you wanting to read the next one to see what happens next. ( )
