It is great for when you are teaching students about symmetry because there are several examples in the book about sharing and splitting objects into 2 symmetrical pieces. To sum the story up, it is about 2 siblings, Bob and Hannah, who spend the day with a baby-sitter. The decide to make a kite and take it to the beach and during the entire book they find things that aren't fair along the way so every time the baby-sitter finds a way to split things into equally sized parts so it's fair.
