Good, realisitic story about the challenges of living in a single parent home and having to help care for autistic younger siblings. (

From the author of Parvana. Khyber has 2 autistic brothers, no father and a mother who used to be a stripper. The family spends most of their money on the boys’ treatment so Khyber “does” weddings to earn extra. Despite her hardships, she still has time to devote to “X” who is a homeless lady on the run from the secret police. Then her mother tells Khyber some terrible news.
