It talked all about where she grew up and what her family did. It also discussed how instead of staying home, Betsy got an education. When she was getting her education, this is where she learned to sew. She sewed all different things. She met her husband, John Ross at the shop as well. He was an apprentice there. Then, they started their own business, the Ross Upholstery Shop. One day, John Ross died from the war that was going on. Betsy was distraught but decided to keep the shop open. General Washington came in a few weeks later requesting Betsy to make an American Flag. I really enjoyed reading about Betsy’s life before she actually made history. It was interesting to see how she came about and how sewing was really a part of her life. It also showed that by working hard at something, you can really be successful. On every few pages, there was a black and white illustration of Betsy and what was taking place in the story. ( ) Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
