The Stone Child is a solid third entry in the Misewa series. It continues the fantasy saga of time travel and mythical monsters. The book would be best for upper middle grades as it deals with issues like racism, death of a parent, Indigenous identity and folklore.Ressenya escrita per a CrÃtics Matiners de LibraryThing . The author of this book is incredibly talented. The characters are well developed, the story is engaging and creative, and the writing is descriptive and strong. I, however, had difficulty getting through the book because I did not read the two previous books in the series. I got a bit lost with the vocabulary, although there was a glossary. I struggled with the story line and fantasy a bit as I did not have any background. I believe I would have loved this series if I started with the first book. Ressenya escrita per a CrÃtics Matiners de LibraryThing . This is a wonderful conclusion to the Misewa saga! Morgan, Arik, and Emily, along with some other friends have to try to find Eli’s soul in order to save him. Morgan has been warned to not enter the wilderness where strange creatures exist, but she has to in order to save her brother. This series explores ideas of folklore, stereotypes, and children and family welfare. I highly recommend this book! Ressenya escrita per a CrÃtics Matiners de LibraryThing . This is a great Indigenous-inspired fantasy series. I am really enjoying the traditional storytelling roots, the thrill of the new plot complications, and the great development of the characters. I can see why it is being nominated for so many prizes. This is a exciting story.Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
