These collection of poems would be great to read aloud before visiting a museum. Since they are about different exhibits it makes it more fun. The illustrations go together perfectly with each poem. Behind the Museum Doors is about the wacky and cool things that children (and anyone) can learn about museums. This collection of poems focuses on the different things that can be featured in a museum, along with interesting and colorful illustrations of kids having fun in front of them. I love the concept of a poetry book about learning because it makes the act of going to a museum sound artistic and like an adventure instead of a time in which to gain more facts.
