A bunch of kids whose mom's are in prison take over the bus that is taking them to visit. Jake is an artist whose alter-ego is Jakeman, superhero. He just wants his mom home and has been writing to the Governor hoping for her release. ( )

The bus to Wickham Prison carries Jake, his sister, and an assortment of nervous and unhappy kids, all anzious to see their moms. One step over the line, one rule broken, and their visit will be canceled. Everyone orders Jake around - his sister, his caseworker, the bus driver, the prison guards, the warden. JAke always follows orders, but nothing ever changes. His mom is still in prison.

This time will be different. This time, the bus to Wickham has a new passenger - Jakeman. And Jakeman isn't afraid of a few rules.

Jake, Shoshona, and several other children get on a bus to go to Wickham prison to see their moms four times a year. This time, however, things are different. Jake is sick of being bossed around and sick of the governor ignoring his letters. Jakeman is going to make someone listen to him. Not one of Ellis' best. ( )
