There a few good stories here, with the best being Rachel in Love. Generally, the stories are not that interesting, and many of them are not Science Fiction.

Rachel in Love - Pat Murphy. An interesting story about a gorilla who is gorilla, but also a young girl.

Dream Baby - Bruce McAllister. A story about the Vietnam war. I skipped it.

Flowers of Edo - Bruce Sterling. Another story I skipped.

Forever Yours, Anna. - Kate Wilhelm. A story about a man who falls in love with a writer of letters. Mystical.

At the Cross-Time Jaunters’ Ball - Alexander Jablokov. A fun little story about time line jumping employee of the immortals.

Dinosaurs - Walter Jon Williams. A very creepy story where man kind has segmented to become one.

The Temporary King - Paul J. McAuley. A lost village meets a man from a technologically advanced society. Lost Innocence.

Perpetuity Blues - Neal Barrett Jr. Another odd story that is more mystical than science fiction.

Buffalo Gals, Won’t You Come Out Tonight? - Ursula K. Le Guin. A fun story about a lost little girl who is found by Coyote. Again, not science fiction.

The Pardoner’s Tale - Robert Silverberg. An alien race has taken over the world, requiring most of the population to do forced labor. The pardoner can fix this...

The Glass Cloud. - James Patrick Kelly. Generally forgettable story about an artist.

The Evening and the Morning and the Night - Octavia E. Butler. A sad story about a disease with a hopeful ending.

Night of the Cooters - Howard Waldrop. The Martians Invade Texas, and meet with a Texas Welcome.

Shades - Lucius Shepard. A ghost comes back to haunt the place he died in Vietnam. Bittersweet, but unremarkable.

The Faithful Companion at Forty - Karen Joy Fowler. Forgettable Story

Candle in a Cosmic Wind. - Joseph Manzione. The last woman on earth meets aliens, and learns the truth about the end of the world.

The Emir’s Clock - Ian Watson. A clock has a secret message that forces a decision for the future.

Ever After - Susan Palwick. Another story not science fiction. This time, a retelling of Cinderella, with a decided twist.

The Forest of Time - Michael Flynn. An alternate reality story where a surveyor finds himself in German Occupied Pennsylvania. Found it interesting, but the mind games annoying.

The Million-Dollar Wound. - Dean Whitlock. Scary story about the future medical field and soldiers.

The Moon of Popping Trees - R. Garcia y Robertson. Well, there are a lot of mystical stories in the volume. This time around, a young girl, with the help of a math teacher, help a tribe of Native Americans to a new place. I liked it.

Diner - Neal Barrett Jr. Alternate Reality story about American under the rule of COmmunist China.

All the Hues of Hell - Gene Wolfe. An odd story. Didn't really get it.

Halley’s Passing - Michael McDowell. A story about an immortal Serial Killer who keeps lists.

America - Orson Scott Card. A story of future America where a young man and a Amazon come together to save the Americas

For Thus Do I Remember Carthage - Michael Bishop. Alternate History Story where the Roman Empire finds Evolution.

Mother Goddess of the World - Kim Stanley Robinson. Story about a climb in Tibet. Didn't really dig it. ( )
