Genre: Informational book/fantasy because the author is portraying objects, animals, and things for the reader to work on his/her counting to 100. This book helps students count to 100 by finding the object and then counting how many there are.
Style: The author/illustrator uses personification to give small animals such as mice, rats, and elephants human characteristics. There are mice dressed as pirates, frogs eating popcorn watching a movie, mice in a marching band, and mice using umbrellas in the rain. Animals do not do these things in real life so the style used is personification. ( )
