A novella-length adventure set in worlds unfamiliar and filled with graphic erotic encounters between the two main characters is the basic outline of the plot. While the worlds created are futuristic and quite unique, they are described in quick, tightly written phrases to best fix their vision in the reader’s memory. The characters are revealed slowly, and developed as the story progresses, and provide enough information and interplay for them to work well within the adventure they have embarked upon.

At its heart, this is a novella that requires you suspend your need for reality for the time you are reading – it is completely engaging with several incredibly well detailed sexual encounters. Having read many erotic stories, it is rare that there is something different and unique to the erotic components. T. C. Archer has managed to create a scene that is both unique and memorable, when the main characters experience a sexual encounter from their partner’s point of view. We see a woman having the reactions of a man, and vice versa. Written with a sense of wonder despite the fantastical premise of the scene – it was a highlight.

This is an 18 book which held interest even without the erotic component: a must have for a read that I enjoy.
