Death Is A Bitch was a fairly easy read, though I did lose interest a few times. I didn't really get a "Bitchy" vibe off of Death, which I was hoping for, she was pretty tame to what I had in mind before diving into this book. Maybe it's just the word bitch that makes people thing "oooh she's bad" or "don't mess with her..." But.. nope, Death was hardly a bitch. Maybe literally, dying, death is a bitch. Then I'd be all like "well, yeah, duuuur" When you start reading you're introduced to Azrael who is now in charge of the Death and Dying committee (well, that's how I pictured it). He's got the hots for Death, she has the hots for him. But neither will say anything until after a little incident, in which Azrael comes riding flying in with his massive wings and helps Death with a soul that needs harboring. Then, I got lost. They kissed and then BAAAAM, they had awesome Death/Angel sex in the blink of an eye. I was a bit thrown when I read this, I had to go back and make sure I didn't just skip the whole smutty scene. But, alas, there was no smutty scene. But there was a few twirling and rolling around up in the sky. The sex must have been AMAZING, because after that, they were in love. Which made me think "okay, maybe this is a YA book" *insert shrugging here* But as you continue, the word "bitch" is thrown in a few more times, so I'm now thinking "okay, borderline adult book" And then demons with a cock that can split in two and can pleasure a woman beyond belief is thrown at you and then I was shaking my head saying, "Well, dang. demon sex is not YA." So, by the end of the book, I gathered that Death Is A Bitch is for a mature audience. There was a quite a bit I didn't like about this book, one of those things would have to be the timing of events.(SPOILER) When Death is trapped in her own cage it seems like such a short amount of time has passed, but when you continue to read and find out there are like a gazillion (slight exaggeration) souls that need to be transported and that gives us a whole different aspect of how much time has passed. That was very confusing to me. As far as the characters, they played a major role in how much I liked and disliked in this book. I didn't really care much for Azrael and Death. But, I did like some of the other characters, namely Damien (that Demon with the two headed cock I mentioned above) and King Sisyphus (SPOILER) who played a part in Death being trapped in her own cage. I'm on the fence about recommending this book. It's a really easy book to read and it's only a 113 pages. I'd recommend this book if you need a book to bide your time, but it's not on my "OMG-You-Have-To-Read-This-Book-Now" recommend list. More like my "It-Was-Okay-Not-Great-But-Okay" list. This book is a paranormal book and most definitely an adult book. Unless YA books have matured a lot more since I've last read them. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

Written with clever insertions of humor, well-developed characters with their own unique voices, traits and foibles, Cate Masters has created an intriguing story that combines the legends and myths of old into a modern-day setting, complete with overlarge corporations, management meetings, tattoo parlors, courts of law and the occasional cameo appearance by other gods, demi-gods and demons.
Humor is everywhere in the story – from an overly coiffed majordomo to Hades, to Hypnos always arriving in bunny slippers, even at the nightclub: the descriptions and details are certain to delight. It was a one sitting book for me, while short it demanded each page be turned and read. I can only hope that more in this series are scheduled – for it was simply delightful – suitable for many readers.
