Rosie's uncle Teddy may not have been able to be around all the time, but he was always there when Rosie needed a dose of reality. Unlike her parents he believed that she needed to keep her feet on the ground even though she spent most of her time running charity and social events mingling with people who had their heads stuck in the clouds. When he dies she's lost. Her friends try to be there for her, but her uncle does the unbelievable and leaves her part of his business. The other half he has left to his sexy right hand man. He requests that the two of them move into his house for six months and find a way to make things work together, but since all she can do is stare at his ass and find ways to push his buttons Rosie's not sure if this is going to work out.Dade Sebastian would do his best to honor his boss's last wish, but just looking at his niece he knew it wasn't going to be as simple as it sounded like it would be. Then the lawyer throws him a curve ball by announcing he's not just going to help Rosie learn to run the business. Instead he's named as co-owner with the company being split equally between the two of them. Together they're supposed to make things work, but that's hard to do when all he wants is for her to stay in the kitchen, or better yet in his bed.… (més)

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

I couldn't put this book down. The characters were relatable - so much that you felt like part of their inner circle. The storyline was well developed. Even though you knew where the story was going to end up, there were a lot of surprises thrown into the mix. I enjoyed the style of writing, it was just honest story telling. Not a lot of unnecessary details, just romance. ( )

This book was a charming and romantic read with a little bit of sass. The plot of a will throwing two seemingly unlike people together sounded like a fun and comical read to me, and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed how Sawyer gave a unique personality to Rosie and her friends, and I found myself easily rooting for all of them. While the book is pretty straightforward, Rosie and Dade have an interesting relationship that makes the book irresistible.

Other people have noted grammatical errors, but the few I noticed didn't bother me; however, I am curious about the dog's names.
Overall I really enjoyed this story and especially liked the antics of Rosie's Uncle Teddy. I hope that this series continues with Rosie's friends, and specifically the N. B. Harriet paintings.
If you're looking for a leisurely read then I highly recommend this book.

[Please note: I was given a copy of this book for review and the above opinions are my own.] ( )

I liked it this book. It was a lighthearted romance with a little kick too it. There's four heiresses so you know three more books are coming, and I'm good with that for a diversion for the day. It will be nice to see the characters develop through the series. ( )

I received this book for free from LibraryThing and was instantly in love with the plot of a rich city girl and a business savvy cowboy thrown together after the death of an important figure in both these characters lives. The author commented that she "writes contemporary romances and her stories vary in heat from sweet to sizzling. I would call this somewhere in between. There was a sweetness to it and scenes that sizzled but overall the book was in between. These characters definitely could heat things up and I would have loved to read more of that. However that didn't stop me from enjoying this book and wanting to pass it along to my girl friends. The ending was predictable, once these two characters got it together but I sure enjoyed the ride.

I agree with some other reviews that the author needed to check for common spelling errors as there were a few lines that required a re-read to figure out what was wrong with the sentence and yes please do something about the dogs names! Either explain why they were chosen or change them because I didn't get it. I also want to know more about Teddy.

Definitely will be looking for more books by this author. ( )

I truly enjoyed reading Rosie and Dade's story. This book had many of the elements of my favorite romance stories, including humor which added a nice touch. I found the plot engaging and as I read each page I wanted to read more. I think Dade and Rosie were a great match for each other in both wit and love. The friendship between the heiresses was very sweet and I loved how suppotive they were to each others plights. Despite being socialites they were charitable, down to earth, and generous people. I also was drawn in by the relationship that both Dade and Rosie had with Uncle Teddy. Their love for him was clearly evident through out the story, as was his love for them. He wanted what was best for the two people he loved most. Why not get them together? I'm eager to read the next part of this series. I am sure it will be equally enjoyable.

Nevertheless, I must comment on the grammatical errors that were littered through out the pages. There were a good amount of them unfortunately. It however didn't take away from the story. ( )
