![]() Cap No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review Truman is a college student who has admitted to himself that he is gay, but is afraid to let anyone know due to difficulties and problems from his parents and hometown. He feels ashamed of his desire to dress in women's clothes and undergarments, and has low self esteem. Stasi finds Truman extremely attractive, and thinks he is straight. When he is staring and crushing on him one day, he finds Truman staring back at him and realizes he may not be so straight. He makes it his goal to win his man. He helps Truman realize he is worthy of being loved, and accepts him exactly as he is. I enjoyed reading about these guys. They were really adorable together. I would love to read more about these guys. The cover was great. I think it was pretty great to highlight this aspect of Truman and the book. Hot! Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
LOCKED IN THE CLOSET...Not long ago, Truman Durant was outed to his parents, disowned, and forced to live in his battered pickup truck. Only knowing he was already accepted to the local university kept Truman from giving up completely. Now he fiercely guards his sexuality from everyone who knows him, wanting only to achieve financial stability through a degree and a job. He refuses to be homeless again, so not even his fraternity brothers know who he really is...or why he has a footlocker full of lingerie and dresses. Truman won't risk any kind of exposure, not even for love.Stasi Manolis is only a few steps out of the closet himself, but it's been a good so far. His large Greek family is trying, and he's grateful for every effort they make to modernize their thinking. He's out on campus and living in the gay fraternity, making friends and sharing benefits. The one guy who keeps catching Stasi's attention is a gorgeous long-haired blond who plays baseball, wears reading glasses, and seems very lonely. While his tactics aren't the smoothest, Stasi doesn't hold back when he's after something he wants...and he wants Truman....SLOWLY COMING OUT. Neither guy is truly prepared to deal with the other, but with a little open-mindedness and patience, they're going to try to make a secret relationship work. But secrets have a way of coming out and some people aren't willing to tolerate let alone accept what they don't understand. Will Truman lose everything for a second time, or will he have the strength to stand up for his rights now that Stasi's by his side? No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |

truman is hiding a secret that's bigger than the fact that he's gay; he likes dressing in women's clothes. when the urge overcomes him, he heads to another town, far away from his fraternity, and meets strangers on the internet. stasi has a crush on truman, and follows him one day to the hotel. when stasi learns truman's secret, he doesn't reject him or think that he's weird, he just thinks that it's part of who truman is. truman still doesn't want to come out to his frat, thought, because he'll lose his scholarship and he won't have any place to live because his parents disowned him. something happens, though, that brings everything out in the open.
what i liked: i liked the build in relationship between stasi and truman. i also liked that stasi liked truman for who he was, not what he thought he should be. i liked that just one person's faith in him caused truman to start having more confidence in himself. i liked the fact that the frat was fairly welcoming; a lot more so than truman thought that they would be, and i liked the fact that the president of the chapter was working hard to eradicate the bad name that the frat had for not being diversified.
what i didn't like: grrrr. that there were no repercussions for the teacher who was involved in the scandal with truamn. (
