Cap No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. I received my copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. I'm giving this 2.5 stars, rounded up to 3 for here. Yes, there was a slow burn to this, but honestly Rawson was obnoxious throughout. Even when they'd made their peace and finally given in to their feelings, it just made me feel like Liz was settling for something she didn't deserve. If you saw my status updates, there was a lot of back and forth between the two on the will they won't they scale. At one point I could have sworn they gave me whiplash from how fast they jumped back and forth in their opinions of each other! This story could have ended about (well the ebook said there was 837 pages so...) 400 pages earlier with the same outcome. It was just too much cat and mouse for my liking. The writing is good, with a good message about God and love, but felt like there was just too much of it. If you enjoy Christian romance with a slow burn, and can handle a long cat and mouse game this one is for you. Apparently, it just wasn't one for me. Swearing throughout and one steamier scene at the end, so it doesn't hit the clean rating. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
After losing her fiancé in an auto accident, Liz Ruthersford flees her home to seek refuge on a remote ranch in Montana where no one knows about her tragic past. But her safe haven holds troubles of its own. When she quite literally runs into Rawson Law, the son of her new boss, and has the scare of her life, she wonders if she might have to flee again. The cocky cowboy seems to have it out for her, and when they are paired together to work with the new horses, he undermines her at every turn. Rawson Law appears like he has it all, yet he'd gladly give it all up for the chance to change one foolish decision five years ago that left one brother dead, another broken, and his best friend spiraling down a path of self-destruction. When he returns home to find a strange girl has taken over not only his coveted job with the yearlings, but his position as 'favorite' with his family as well, he determines to push her out of the picture and reclaim his life. He's not about to get shafted by a woman again, even if she appears innocent and sweet. Though Rawson and Liz fight their attraction, embers of hope flicker to life as hearts tangle and they discover what it means to truly love. Can forgiveness really allow new beginnings, or will secrets from the past keep them from embracing the present? No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |

Liz is one of those characters that gets under your skin. I loved reading about her and really cheered in her section. That is until she showed she was just a spoiled, judgemental brat. I was so disappointed. I understand why she acted the way she did. But still I somehow expected more from her. Okay, so maybe it is a bit harsh to call her spoilt and judgemental and a brat. You have to decide for yourself.
Rawson is a great character. With him you see the growth and development. It is wonderful to see his journey from avoiding God to seeking Him and growing in faith to the point where he can forgive himself.
I loved every minute of this book. Through all the misunderstandings, meddling from other people, life that happens, this book pulls you in and makes you part of every one's life. It is an uplifting book that shows forgiveness is powerful and empowering. I am deeply touched by this book and have already put the author on my to read list.
