A collection of funny poems.
  hgcslibrary | Nov 29, 2009 |
All poems were written by Bruce Lanskey. The poems were taken out of other books and put in this collection because the poems were funny. The poems were about serious matters but they had a humorous spin on them.

I enjoyed the poems I read it was very entertaining. One of my favorite poems in the book was "Bathroom Hog" it reminded me of my sister. My sister takes forever in the bathroom. I thought about giving her a copy of the poem. Another poem that really stood at to me was "A Bad Case of the Giggles" some day in school it seems like everyone was giggling and hyper. It was easy to relate to this poem because it makes me think of the days when I was still in high school. The final poem that stuck out to me was "Scrambled" this poem explains so much, some days you feel so happy that you scramble your words all up. I really liked the funny poems they made it easier to read and it made it easier to relate back when I was a kid and all the silly little things happened.

In the classroom I might ask the students to pick out their favorite poem and share why it stood out to them. I might also ask them to get in groups and act out a poem.
