From bestselling authors William W. and J.A. Johnstone comes a special action-packed holiday western tale of peace on earth and bad will toward men . . .

Johnstone Country. Where Legends Are Born.

Ever since he left Scotland to start a new life in America, Duff MacCallister has stayed true to the values and traditions of his clan in the Highlands. But as Christmas approaches, he yearns to reconnect with his familyâ??even the ones he hasn't met yet. This year, two of his American cousinsâ??twins Andrew and Rosannaâ??will be joining Duff for the holidays at the Sky Meadow Ranch. That is, if they manage to get there alive . . .

The twins' train is held up by not one, but two vicious outlaw gangs. The Jessup gang has been using the Spalding gang's hideout to plan the robbery. The Jessups just lost two of their brothers in a bank job gone wrongâ??courtesy of Duff MacCallisterâ??and they're gunning for revenge. Together, these two bloodthirsty bands of killers and thieves are teaming up to make this one Christmas the MacCallisters will never forget. But Duff's ready to deliver his own brand of gun-blazing justice, holidays be damned . . .

Title: A MacCallister Christmas
Author: William W. Johnstone and J. A. Johnstone
Pages: 300
Year: 2020
Publisher: Kensington
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Johnstone country, a wonderful place where readers can curl up and read an enjoyable tale! Here is a new addition to the Christmas stories that have previously been published. Each Christmas book is a stand alone with very familiar and likeable characters that readers know from other novels in the Johnstone world.
The prior books that readers will want to read and enjoy are A Lone Star Christmas, Rocky Mountain Christmas, A Big Sky Christmas, A Frontier Christmas, A Texas Hill Country Christmas, A Colorado Christmas, An Arizona Christmas, A High Sierra Christmas, and A Jensen Family Christmas.
In the newest addition, Duff MacCallister is waiting to be joined for a holiday celebration by his cousins, Falcon, Andrew and Rosanna MacCallister. Andrew and Rosanna are coming by train along with a young woman who claims that Duff knows her from Scotland, but does he? Falcon is coming by horseback and the people he ends up coming to Chugwater with for holiday celebrations will surprise those in town!
As usual, Duff is trying to run his ranch, making plans for a special Christmas season but instead the air is filled with gun smoke. Fiona is the young girl who claims that Duff knows her and gives others the appearance that there are romantic ties between the two. One of the climactic moments is a train robbery when Duff’s cousins are riding into Chugwater! Other favorite characters that are part of the novel are Wang, Elmer and Meagan. Wait till you see the sparks that fly between Fiona and Meagan!
Read this explosive and exciting tale and then if you haven’t read them yet, the other Christmas tales by William W. Johnstone.
