SF story about an outsider that makes it into the best fight academy and makes friends and enemies while going from level to level. A lot of fights in some robot armor stuff.
Great fights and interesting skills, nice likeable character and the "bad" characters have motives behind their actions. I prefer that to dumb "i am just the bad guy" attitude.
Someone wrote in his review "Enders game meets Cradle" - and that is a great comparison. A lot is against the mc and something is rigged against him but he get stronger through that. All this while not developing a mood of despair because he has his circle of friends with lot friendly banter between them so I was smiling a lot.
Also for me a highlight is that there are a lot great strong female characters that are not just trophy girls.

Two excellent authors team up to deliver a masterpiece

I have previously enjoyed both O'Connor and Chimilenko's books and I found this to be a gun and well written story from start to finish. ( )
