A very interesting book, with easy to relate to characters. Unfortunately I was unable to finish the book, as I could not get it loaded into my Kobo app and the font would not enlarge enough on my phone for me to read the entire book (I am legally blind, so font size is a definite issue). But I greatly enjoyed what I was able to read and hope I can eventually obtain a Kobo ebook copy or a large print version so I can finish it.Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

For Zed and Tuesday, adjusting to life in modern-meets-medieval Falinnheim means normal is relative. Lots of kids deal with moving, starting new schools, and doing chores. But normally, those schools aren't in underground bunkers full of secret agents, and the chore list doesn't involve herding dodos. The one thing that hasn't changed: all the adults treat them like they're invisible. When a security breach interrupts a school field trip, the siblings find themselves locked out of the Resistance base. With the adults trapped inside, it's up to Tuesday, Zed, and their friends to save the day. And for once, being ignored and underestimated is coming in handy. After all, who would suspect a bunch of kids are capable of taking down the intruders that captured their families, let alone the murderous dictator that put them into hiding in the first place? Turns out invisibility might just have its benefits. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |

The sequel started off a bit slow. The kids are trying to fit into the new place and they learn a lot of new things. Even when the story starts progressing, it still continues in the slow pace. Only in the last third we really get some action and the end was spectacular. It was really satisfying how everything came together.
I really enjoyed the focus on what children can do to help. How they become invisible because no one pays them attention. Also, the ways they solve problems that the adults might not think of.
Besides the kids, I really enjoyed the old grandma's character. She is such an unapologetic woman (as grandmas tend to be) and where the leaders are discussing the best strategies carefully she just waltzes in, takes over and does her thing.
Tha narration continues being bit too much dramatised than was necessary but I already got used to it. Still, some of those sighing pauses are a bit annoying.
All in all, I really liked this second entry in the series. The story that started in the first book kind of ended here, but I suppose there are still things to resolve. I will definitely pick up the third book when it comes out. ( )
