The author/illustrator uses beautiful full color realistic illustrations to create a story in pictures. The reader is able to tell the story as they wander through the pages with the young cave boy. This book can be used with the very young as you help them use the pictures to tell the story or for older children as a writing challenge and have them actually write the story as they see it. Books like this build narrative skills. Fans of movies like Ice Age and the Croods will particular love this book. (
